75% of Health Systems Now Using AI — and More Than Half Report 2x ROI
A second annual survey of 120 U.S. health system executives found that 75% now use at least one AI application, up from 59% in 2025, with half of respondents running three or more AI tools simultaneously. Among systems able to quantify returns, more than half reported at least a 2x ROI. Clinical note-taking and ambient listening led adoption with 68% uptake and 62% year-over-year growth. Despite strong results, slow implementation timelines and staff hesitation remain common barriers. Health systems are moving well beyond pilots, with organizations deploying AI specifically to address provider burnout and financial constraints.
